Education and Awareness
Copyright can be complicated. Organizations and individuals often are unaware of, or simply do not understand, their rights and responsibilities under the law. CCC's education and awareness programs are designed to help people appreciate the importance of copyright, assist them in understanding what they can and cannot do with copyrighted content, and explain the steps they can take to obtain copyright permission.
Education and Awareness Programs include:

Workshops—online or on-site; tailored for corporations, academic faculty and staff, and rightsholders. Sessions range from a one-hour general overview of copyright principles and guidelines, to a full-day program that includes advanced copyright topics such as managing digital and international content, interlibrary loan, e-reserves and course management systems.

Presentations—CCC's knowledgeable staff members are available to serve as guest speakers, session leaders or panelists at conferences, trade shows and other events.

Educational tools and materials—available online and tailored to help individuals and organizations gain a better understanding of their rights and responsibilities and to promote respect for intellectual property.
